Meet Your Coach
Simon Jeffery
Welcome to my site, seriouspt.com.
I am Simon Jeffery, I am 32, and I am the Manager and owner of Winners 2000 Fitness Limited.
I started this great business with my friends and mentor, Ben Longrigg in 2000, hence the name. Since that time we have worked with a simple contract of trust and shared vision, with the aim of building the best fitness clubs in the world. We currently have 2 sites, Torquay and Paignton, and are working hard right now to move our Paignton club to much bigger premsies, and also to build a new site in Newton Abbot.
I am very lucky to have some amazing colleagues, who work so hard at making our product the best around. In Hannah (www.hannahbryant.co.uk), Helen (www.thetrulysrtong.com) and Dean, I have 3 sperb coaches that make Torquay an exceptional place to work out. And in Paignton, Matt, Deanne and Dave run a great club.
Coaching is my passion, as well as competing. I coach some great people, as well as top athletes. Helen is the UKBFF Fitness Champion, and Hannah is well on her way to that title in Figure. I work with boxers such as Dean Francis, footballers like Mike Williamson, rugby players like Gary Willis, as well as the fastest 15 year old on legs, Amy Wakeham, who is going to be in the London 2012 games.
I coach how I train and live, with military precision, and total commitment to the goal. I dont drink, I have never smoked or done drugs, and I never will. I dont see how any of those habits fit in with my message, and what I am coaching people to get. Namely, balance in their lives, and to get the most from every day. To pay attention to the important things, like children, family and just being a better person.
Imposters
The world is a wash with people giving out advice on topics that have no right to get involved in. If someone is setting themselves up to be your coach, then make sure you have some respect and belief in them. Make sure they can walk their talk.
Why?
Helping people make positive changes in their life is the most
rewarding career there is. Being an athlete was great, being a coach
is even greater.
I wouldnt want to do anything else.
Thanks for checking out my site. Go to the articles and forums and you can find loads of information to help you on your way.
